Reviewing and messaging applicants

How the applicant pipeline works and how to message workers directly.

Applications land in Dashboard → Applications. Here's what to do with them.

The pipeline

Every application starts as Applied. As you review them, move them through:

  • Applied → new application, not yet reviewed
  • Shortlisted → worth interviewing
  • Interviewed → you've spoken to them
  • Hired → they got the role
  • Rejected → not a fit

The worker sees "Applied", "Shortlisted", and "Hired" states. They don't see "Rejected" — they just see nothing change. Use it freely.

What you see on each applicant

  • Verified certifications (RSA, RSG, Food Safety, etc.)
  • Work rights and visa type
  • Weekly availability (day + shift grid)
  • Career timeline
  • References (contact-gated — you can request access)

Messaging

Click Message on any applicant. Full messaging thread lives in the platform. Read receipts show when messages have been seen.

We don't share worker phone numbers or emails directly — for privacy. If a worker consents in the chat, they can share their phone with you.

Response rate matters

If you respond to applications within 48 hours, we mark you as a Fast Responder on your venue profile. Workers see this and apply to you more often.
